Document Upload troubleshooting
If you have encountered an error during your upload, please try to follow the steps described below to resolve the problem.
Your file will remain in the List with an ‘Error’ displayed in the Status Column. The file will be discarded if you Submit the batch of documents for recognition.
File size error
If your file is larger than 20 MB, try to compress it using the Compress Document program or just save your file as pdf again, but select the ‘lowest file size’ option.
In case of such errors, the Document Counter does not take them into account for total calculations.
Unsupported file format
This error might happen because of a few file problems that include:
- File corruption, malware, and viruses: you can’t upload an infected file. That’s why we recommend you check it using Windows Security or any other antivirus app to ensure that it hasn't got any problems;
- Inappropriate file format: our system supports pdf, png, and jpeg files, so only they are available for selection. Here is a short guide on how you can convert a file to PDF.
- The first option works on both Windows and Mac. You can use the ‘Print to PDF’ method as it doesn’t need any additional programs. For this follow the next steps:
Step 1: Open the file you want to convert to PDF;
Step 2: Select ‘File’ from the menu bar and choose ‘Print’;
Step 3: Click on the ‘Save to PDF’ button to get a result.
- The second option can also be appropriate for both Mac and Windows users but requires Adobe Acrobat. It’s one of the most convenient PDF editors that can be used for converting a variety of file formats.
As soon as you have repaired the file, try to upload it once again.
I have closed my web browser when uploading the documents
Unfortunately, if you have accidentally closed the browser during document upload, you will have to upload it once again as it will be lost. However, the overall upload process takes no more than 3 minutes. So, re-uploading won’t be complicated for you.
